Aviation Instructional Design

Training built by people who fly the line — and know how adults actually learn.

We develop new courseware, restructure and improve existing training programs, and upskill your current training staff — giving operators a path to compliant, engaging, scalable training no matter how much turnover hits the department.

Who We Are

Operators and instructional designers — not one pretending to be the other.

We're a small team of aviation professionals who are also trained instructional designers — a combination that's genuinely rare. Between us, we bring over 10,000 combined flight hours, with design staff experienced in a wide array of aircraft — from small piston and turboprop to large-cabin bizjets and airliners. That breadth means the training we build reflects how professional flight crews actually operate, not just how a manual says they should.

We also bring formal training in the science of learning itself — instructional design methodology that applies both in and out of aviation. A lot of aviation training content is written by subject matter experts who've never studied how adults actually learn, or by instructional designers who've never sat in the seat. We've built both sides of that skill set into how we work.

Our course development goes beyond flight operations training, too — we've built customer service and safety programs as well, using the same evidence-based instructional design approach across every subject we take on.

Who We Help

Built for operators feeling the training fallout of today's hiring market.

Small to mid-size Part 135 operators are absorbing the sharpest impact of current pilot hiring trends: high turnover in Chief Pilot and Director of Training roles, and the "brain drain" that leaves newly promoted training staff holding a program they didn't build and don't yet fully understand.

Regulatory compliance risk

Gaps that surface only when a POI finds them, not before.

Program continuity

A training program only the last Director of Training fully understood.

Scalability

Training built for a smaller fleet or crew count that hasn't kept pace with growth.

Pilot engagement & cost efficiency

Programs that meet the letter of the requirement but cost more time and goodwill than they should.

What We Do

Capacity and expertise, wherever the gap is.

01

Needs Analysis

Before we write a single slide, we assess whether a course is actually the right solution to the problem you're facing. When it is, we follow a systematic instructional design process to develop the deliverables — so you get the solution the problem actually calls for, not just content for content's sake.

02

Training Program Audits

We evaluate existing programs against regulatory compliance requirements and flag gaps in scalability, pilot engagement, and cost efficiency before they become findings or attrition problems.

03

Program Transition Support

When a new Chief Pilot or Director of Training inherits a program, we help them understand it, implement it correctly, and get functionally fluent fast — instead of learning it the hard way under a POI's microscope.

04

Course Development (Project Basis)

We build training content — from single courses to full curricula — that would otherwise consume time your current managers don't have. This is capacity, not just consulting.

05

In-House Training Buildout

We help operators bring outsourced or fragmented training in-house: blended face-to-face and e-learning programs, written and delivered by us, designed to be owned and scaled by your team going forward. That includes setting your team up on the LMS and authoring tools — like Articulate Storyline and Camtasia — they'll need to keep building on it themselves.

Flexible engagement models

We can deliver the training ourselves, build content for your team to deliver, or train your trainers to build and deliver their own content going forward. However your team is resourced, we fit the gap rather than force a one-size model.

Let's talk about your training program.
